Rep. Joel Kretz talks to TVW about voluntary bipartisan riparian buffer legislation

Rep. Joel Kretz, R-Wauconda, talks to TVW with Rep. Mike Chapman (D-Port Angeles) about the establishment of a fully voluntary, regionally focused proposal aimed at improving fish recovery in critical riparian management zones. Kretz’s bipartisan legislation, House Bill 1720, brings together farmers, ranchers, and private landowners, along with several tribal interests. It includes a grant program funded through local conservation districts.
